All Cards – Complete Card Guide

Every Card Counts. Play Smart, Bark Loud.

In Pawsome Elements, every card you play brings you one step closer to victory — or chaos. The game uses a shared deck made up of Basic Cards and a variety of Special Cards that keep matches dynamic and unpredictable.

Here is a complete breakdown of every card type you will encounter.

Basic Cards

Basic Cards are the core of the game. Each one has two properties:

  • Element — Nature, Filth, or Arcane
  • Value — A number from 1 to 9

On your turn, play a card that matches either the Element or the Value of the top card on the pile. If you cannot play, you must draw from the deck — or use a spell if it is ready.

There are 9 Basic Cards per Element, giving you 27 Basic Cards across the three Elements.

Out-of-Turn Play

You can play a card outside your turn if it is an exact match — same Element and same Value as the top card. This is a powerful tactic that can disrupt the turn order and catch opponents off guard.

Multidog

The Multidog is the ultimate wildcard. It belongs to the special Multimatter Element and can be played on any card regardless of Element or Value. Likewise, any card can be played on top of a Multidog.

Use it to break out of a tough spot, finish a game, or disrupt your opponents' strategy. Since Multidogs are rare in the deck, knowing when to play one versus saving it is an important strategic decision.

Special Cards

Each Element (Nature, Filth, Arcane) includes its own set of Special Cards. These cards follow normal Element-matching rules but trigger unique effects when played.

Hydrant

When played, the Hydrant transforms one random card from each opponent's hand into a random card from the deck. This can shake up the entire table — opponents might lose a key card or end up with something unexpected. It is one of the most disruptive cards in the game.

Shaking

When you play Shaking, every other player draws 1 card. A simple but effective way to increase your opponents' hand sizes while you stay in control. Especially powerful when opponents are close to winning.

Trash Can Diving

When Trash Can Diving is played, the next player draws 2 cards from the discard pile. Instead of drawing from the main deck, they receive recently played cards — which may or may not help them. A targeted disruption tool that can break an opponent's momentum.

Treat Hiding

Playing Treat Hiding reduces your spell cooldown by 1 turn. This means you can use your equipped spell sooner. If you rely heavily on your spell, keep an eye out for Treat Hiding cards — they can give you a significant timing advantage.

Ball of Fortune

The Ball of Fortune is a unique Special Card that belongs to no specific Element — it can be played on anything, similar to a Multidog.

When you play it, you are presented with two randomly selected effects from a pool of five possible outcomes. You must choose one (or a random one is picked if time runs out).

Here are all five possible effects:

Ball of Curse

All opponents draw 1 card each. A straightforward way to slow everyone else down.

Ball of Fate

1 random card from your hand is shuffled back into the deck. A gamble — you might lose a card you needed, or get rid of one you did not want.

Ball of Luck

All cards in your hand are transformed into random cards from the deck. A complete hand reset that can either save you or make things worse. High risk, high reward.

Ball of Wisdom

Your spell cooldown is instantly reset to 0. If your spell is on cooldown, this lets you use it again immediately. Extremely powerful for spell-focused strategies.

Ball of Wish

1 random card in your hand is transformed into a Multidog. A reliable way to gain access to the game's most versatile card.

How to Study Cards Effectively

  1. Know the Special Cards — Understanding what each Special Card does helps you anticipate threats and opportunities.
  2. Track Elements — Pay attention to which Elements are being played frequently and which are scarce.
  3. Save key cards — Multidogs and Special Cards are most powerful when played at the right moment, not the first opportunity.
  4. Combine with Spells — Cards like Treat Hiding pair well with spell-heavy strategies, while Ball of Wisdom can unlock your spell at a critical moment.
